Tony is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 35 years’ experience, the last 20 years in flood & coastal risk management.  Within the Environment Agency he have worked across Area, Regional and National teams undertaking various roles in development control, asset management, operations/maintenance, flood warning, flood incident management, flood & coastal risk management and reservoir safety.  

Tony has experienced numerous flood events and led the EA response, whilst working in partnership with the emergency services, Local Authorities' Flood Action Groups, and the communities at risk.  Tony’s responsibilities in his current role are to reduce the risk to life from reservoir failures, which is done by regulating, influence and helping to shape the future of the reservoir safety industry.
