Resilient and remote flood monitoring

The reliable and real-time measurement and reporting of river, groundwater and rainfall can be crucial to effective flood and crisis management. Neither the cellular networks or IoT are considered to have sufficient resilience to deliver this level of mission critical data.This paper presents in a SWAT analysis critic, the issues concerning cellular M2M and IoT alongside the more mission critical communications platforms from licenced radio, CNoT to LEO satellites communications
