Anglian PDU success underpinned by proven programme delivery
The Environment Agency’s Sustainable Engineering Procurement Strategy, 2011- 2020, put a focus on efficiency, packaging, and a move towards long term programmes of work delivered though an integrated supply team with a single lead partner.
Since 2014 JBA-Bentley have completed over 75 schemes in the Asset Refurbishment Programme of Works and have identified efficiencies worth £2.7M from a programme of £15.7M. Key to this success has been the team’s focus on providing value for money solutions, a holistic view of all schemes to manage the programme and ensure continual delivery on site, and adopting improvements to how work is undertaken. The Agency has recently established seven Programme Delivery Units (PDUs) to secure delivery of the FCRM programme. JBA-Bentley have been appointed as sole Asset Delivery supplier in the East of England and are currently leading the PDU team in a senior supplier role optimising and prioritising the region’s FCRM programme. This presentation will explain the ARPW approach to co-location, team integration and project delivery, and how this has successfully delivered programme and efficiency savings. It will describe how we will use our expertise and lessons learnt to lead the Eastern PDU team in delivering the FCRM programme over the remainder of the WEM Framework, and how the approaches we have developed will help the Agency in shaping its next framework.
