Building a portfolio of projects to identify environmental opportunities

The Project Delivery Units (PDUs) have been created by the Environment Agency to establish geographically based, co-located integrated flood risk management delivery teams (including both client and supply chain representatives) to drive delivery of 300,000 properties better protected by March 2021. This paper will show how this innovative way of delivering an overarching Programme provides an opportunity for a review of the way social and environmental enhancement opportunities are approached, managed and reported to improve and demonstrate overall sustainability of the Programme.
